Local Attractions Around The Causeway

Bushmills is situated on the north Antrim coast of N. Ireland many local attractions are within reach of the village, these include: The famous Giant’s Causeway, Dunluce Castle and Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge. The Bushmills distillery is open to the public daily, the tours are 30 to 40 minutes and has a small entrance fee. All above attractions are about a 10 minute drive from Bushmills. When in the area why not come and stay in The Causeway B&B just recently renovated. Places To See Near The Causeway Coast
When visitors come and stay with us in the causeway B&B they often ask about places of interest. We suggest the try some of these things. If into golf there are some very good courses here are some of them. The most famous being Royal Portrush, also Portstewart Golf Club Rathmore in Portrush and Bush Foot in Portballintrae. Portballintrae is only a few minutes drive away from the Causeway B&B. Portrush is a 10 minute drive and Portstewart 15 minute drive. Also let’s not forget about the children, in Coleraine 6 miles from the Causeway, there is Indoor Bowling and the Cinema. These are just a few attractions on The Causeway Coast.
 
 
Giant’s Causeway Park And Ride
A two minute drive from the Causeway B&B is a park and ride service to the Giant’s Causeway. People also come into Bushmills on tour buses and take a stroll around our quaint little village which has numerous places to eat. There are three coffee shops, The Scotch House Bar and Bistro and The Bushmills Inn.
 
 
Things To Know About Bushmills
Bushmills situated on the Causeway Coast was originally called Portcaman until the 1600’s. By 1775, there were five licensed distilleries the most famous of Old Bushmills who celebrated 400 years of distilling in 2008. The town prospered in the 19th century due the unusaul number of watermills situated along the River Bush, the success of the Old Bushmills Distillery now one of the oldest distilleries in the world also let’s not forget the famous Giant’s Causeway a major tourist destination. Bushmills is reasserting itself as the gateway to the Giant’s Causeway and benefits from some thriving community groups. Why not come and visit Bushmills and take in all these marvellous things and many more and stay in a lovely B&B. The Causeway B&B where a warm welcome awaits you.
